Combining a 3.4-litre engine producing 330hp sitting on 19" alloy wheels and a daunting paint job in black could only mean that Porsche have released an all new Black Edition Cayman S.
With a limited production run of just 500, this is certainly a very exclusive model for any Porsche enthusiast. Reaching 0-62 in a staggering 5.1 seconds with the 6-speed manual gearbox this is a true speed demon, however with Porsches Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) (that basically means 'Dual Clutch Automatic Gearbox' to you and I) time is reduced to just 5.0 seconds dead, and apply Launch Control and you will reduce it to a sweet 4.8 seconds.
"all this speed costs money" I hear you chant, however, Porsche are claiming that the Black Edition produces the same consumption figures as the standard car, returning around 30mpg, not the most economical, but could and for all intents and purposes should be worse.
No special edition would be complete without, shiny lights and some piercing LED runners, which look menacing while it's cruising through the dark of night.
The 19" wheels are taken from it's new sibling the Boxster Spyder, an inch wider however and sprayed black. Inside is leather-bound and highlighted with 'Porsche' insignia, with the sidesteps displaying the 'Black Edition' signature.
